2009 was a milestone year for Power To Be and the team has put forth an amazing plan for 2010 to support even more children, youth and families living with challenges.
Parts of the 20 10 plan include:
an expedition for youth living with auditory challenges
another for youth living with type one diabetes
an increase in programs for children and youth living with autism
a sailing trip with SALTS
second season in the spring of the Family Roots
expanded youth mentorship program in the Wilderness School
increased capacity to do family work and youth support in the community are also projected
BC Children’s Hospital’s Teen Adventures program continues with a potential expansion.
In addition to all of this, our existing community partners, along with some new ones, continue to step up and support these and other programs at Power To Be.
We have lots of great work to do in the community this year and we are looking to add two more great people to the team to help us meet these and other goals for 2010. Please see two attached full-time job postings. We would be grateful if you helped us get these postings to people who have the skills, interest and passion for this important work.
