We have guided thousands of paddlers on wilderness trips and are thrilled that so many guests become repeat clientele. Our trips are physically satisfying vacations that are designed to be relaxing, safe, thought-provoking and fun. Today Coastal Odyssey has completed its 10th operational season and is Norway’s leading Sea Kayaking Company that serves over 3000 clients per season. Coastal Odyssey is seeking individuals to fill three different levels of guide positions: Guide Internship: Coastal Odyssey offers guide internships to individuals that have no prior guiding experience, and to whom we feel has the potential of someday becoming a great guide. Sea Kayak Day Guide A Coastal Odyssey Sea Kayak Day Guide is a great place to gain first-hand guiding experience. This entry-level position is designed for aspiring guides; as a day guide you will be given the opportunity to gain experience in all aspects of the guiding profession. Sea Kayak Head Guide A Coastal Odyssey Sea Kayak Head Guide is a leadership position in Coastal Odyssey. Our Head Guides have both; the desire to provide top-notch customer service and create unforgettable vacations as well as the ability to "connect" with each and every guest on every trip.
Do you have "the right stuff" to be a Coastal Odyssey Guide? We are looking for guides possessing these qualities: Has a passion for the outdoors Is a creative and effective problem solver with great people skills Is service minded with solid organisational skills Is a good communicator with captivating interpretation techniques Can communicate in more than one language Is a self-starter and motivated individual Is charismatic and concerned with making others feel good Is a strong team player; able to work well with others, both superiors and subordinates Has strong ethics and integrity Has a valid driver’s license, and an excellent driving record? If you feel you have “the right stuff” and are interested in spending a summer guiding on Norway’s majestic coast; then you should send us your resume and two professional letters of references.
